1930s pair of rare elephant bookends by Shorter & Son Ltd in a golden green hue with a satin finish. They are in excellent condition but there is a small flaw in the original glaze on one elephant as shown in the photos. 

The elephants are each unique in design as one is holding his trunk up whilst reading a book, and the other is using his trunk to hold his book.
