Tanner Krolle's roots were established in London in 1856 by Fredrich Krolle . Henry Krolle his son was recognised for his contribution to the leather industry by being awarded the Freedom of Drapers Company. The company made leather goods for the British army during WWI.  In 1920 Albert Krolle moved his business into the premises of the London Tanner's family, and the merger gave rise to an explosion of expertise and travelling bags and handbags became standard in the range.

Clients included Lady Diana, HRH Princess Margaret who bought for herself and HRH The Queen, Jackie Onassis, and Sir David Attenborough - who has been using a set of luggage he received on his 21st birthday!
