A striking Victorian silver plated hobnail glass hair tidy with "Hair Tidy" written in large letters on the lid. The silver plate is unmarked.
In very good condition throughout.
Its original use was to store hair taken from hairbrushes after brushing, which would be emptied by a servant later. In modern times this could be used to store hair accessories such as hair clips or combs or trinkets. Would look good in a bathroom or on a dressing table.
