A well executed painting embroidered on silk in pastel hues. This is a detail taken from the Renaissance artist, Botticelli's The Birth of Venus.
Framed in black wood in the 1930s by Rossiter's of Cambridge, 10 Rose Crescent.
The picture mount is black with painted gold edge lines. Some chips to the wooden frame which do not detract, and the silk work is in good condition.
